[It’s been a while in
the doing and putting together but the Music Section is now becoming a
reality. Our Bad Jan has been dreaming and talking and talking and dreaming
about a Music Section for several years and finally we got her to sit down
long enough to put something together.]
As you might have realized the Ladies do a
lot of very long haul driving.
[In fact Bad Jan
considers herself a professional truck driver even if she is 10 wheels short
of a full load....giggle.] If you’ve
ever spent sometime studying the Ghost Forge Calendar then you know that the
Ladies must spend a lot of time in the truck and on the road going from one
event to another. Ever stop to think what they must be doing while all
those miles click by?
[Ya right, we didn’t
either until we had to sit down and write this intro to the section.]
Well we asked them and they said
music. It seems that listening and/or signing along to CDs of their
favorite rendezvous artists helps keep Bad Jan awake and the miles slip by.
What we plan on offering for sale here are
those CDs whom Bad Jan and the Bounty Hunter listen to the most out there on
the road. [Well,
if the truth be known, the Bounty Hunter also listens to them on her CD
player while in camp with the aid of a set of head phones. Bad Jan just has
them imprinted in her head and sings accordingly.]
We have set up short sound clips of several
of the Ladies’ favorite songs per artist or CD so you too can hear and get a
feel for the music. No sense in purchasing something you’ve not had a
chance to hear a little of since there is no refund on CDs or tapes. So as
you’re reviewing the offerings here, just tag on the links and sit back to a
wee sampling of what the Ladies feel are some of the best of the best

You could probably call Joey the Voice
of Rendezvous for he has been rendezvousing and singing for onto 30 or
more years. He with son Shawn and various friends have 8 CDs out that
are officially theirs. FS&F performs many of the old songs, those
which are traditional for the 18th Century and before. The musical
arrangements and energy which are presented are wonderful. There are no
bad CDs nor is there any one favorite they are all simply fantastic.
