The Caraco Jacket:

The Caraco Jacket was popular between 1770 and 1785. Our jacket has a form-fitting bodice with 3/4 length sleeves finished with trim. The bodice front tapers down below the waist in a false stomacher for a flattering line. Cut wide at the shoulders, the trimmed neckline plunges to just above the bust line, complimenting one's neck and shoulders. The front is fastened edge-to-edge with a fetching lace-up closure. The bodice has a medium length flowing "skirt" which falls about knee length. The jacket is worn with either a matching or contrasting petticoat. A gauze modesty kerchief was draped around the neck and tucked into the bodice in front for a demure look. Dry Cleaning Recommended. (Kerchief not included.)
