The Sacque Back Jacket: as well as the gowns were popular from 1720 through 1770. Our jacket has a box pleated back, draping from neckline to hem in back. The neckline is flattering in its open long line and is accented with lace or other trim. The bodice has a stomacher insert which may or may not be worn depending upon choice. The stomacher, hangs loosely beneath front opening of the jacket. Could be sewn in place for a more fitted look. 3/4 length sleeves with lace or other trim complete the look. |
