We have made our period correct clothing with the full- figured woman in mind. No skimping on the cut of the garments is the name of the game. All are designed to be flattering. 

The same holds true, we have found for the "petite" woman.  Over the last several years numerous small ladies approach us with clothing problems.  We discovered that the petite lady often had as many headaches when trying to find clothes that fit, as did the full-figured ladies.  [Wow, what a small world.  But the solution is here...the obvious answer is Ghost Forge's Rubenesque Fashions]Ô

Ghost Forge's Rubenesque FashionsÔ offer a wide range of garments from Underpinnings to Aprons. Simple Bodices and Petticoats to more elegant Polonaises and Sacque Back or Caraco Jackets. We have over the years noticed that there is very little clothing available for the fuller-figured woman unless she sews or has a dressmaker. To purchase a nice jacket or bodice  which actually fits and is comfortable from "off -the-rack" is practically unheard of, hence our offering. You will find that the sizes listed herein are always available and that there will be no "attitude" if a larger or smaller size is requested. You'll not find the "lace up the back option" to make the bodice a larger size concept. All clothing is made for the full-figured or petite woman from patterns specifically tailored to fit her figure. 
    Have you noticed that you feel beautiful when you dress in clothes which fit correctly, comfortably, and are flattering to you? Dressing for the 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries should be no different. Accordingly, we at Ghost Forge believe there is no reason why a full-figured woman should dress or look like a sack of potatoes or a petite lady look like she's wearing someone else's clothes when we have all these options available to her.
